Economic Mobility Pilot Program to Include 2000 Skilled Refugees as Part of IRCC Expansion

The EMPP was created to assist skilled refugees in immigrating to Canada via existing economic programmes. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that it will provide funding to several alliance partners through the Economic Mobility Pilot Program (EMPP). Over the next few years, the programme will admit  2,000 skilled refugees  to Canada to help with shortages in specific, high demand sectors.  Immigration Minister Sean Fraser made  the announcement today in Ottawa during a partner meeting. The EMPP facilitates the hiring of skilled refugees by connecting them with employers who have urgent hiring needs. Talent Beyond Boundaries, Talent Lift, and Jumpstart Refugee Talent are the recipients of funding. These organizations will soon be able to refer and support candidates directly. The IRCC has Confirmed an IT Glitch that is Affecting Express Entry Candidates

Candidates for Express Entry are being impacted by system issues that have arisen since   NOC 2021   was implemented. An Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) spokesman stated that there had been IT issues with the Express Entry system since the National Occupation Classification (NOC) 2021 was put into effect in an email to  CIC News . This covers applicants for Provincial Nominee Programs through Express Entry (PNP). Although the IRCC claims that the department is thoroughly investigating these problems and attempting to find solutions, no timetable for these fixes has been provided.
